Lighten Up! slowly lights a bedside lamp to
simulate dawn. This simulates sunrise and tells your brain
that it is time to get up and start the day. Instructions
are included. At the time you select, your lamp will slowly
go from off to full on. Uses a standard 60 watt
incandescent bulb (GE Soft White). Do Not use Compact flourescent,
CLF, LED, or Tensor type lamps. Those bulbs will not work and
may damage the unit and your lamp. Do not use them.
Some dimmer style lamps also cause problems, some are O.K.
Avoid them, they offer no advantage.
Model 308 doesn't like some models of SURGE PROTECTORS or POWER STRIPS.
If 308 acts erractically, eliminate the power strip.

What about the icandescent bulb phase out?
It will not eliminate all incandescent bulbs.
All new bulbs made after 2014 must become more energy efficient, special use bulbs
will still be permitted. We have tried to make LED bulbs work, and can do it,
but the circuits only work with one model bulb at a time.
If the bulb manufacturer changes their circuitry, even slightly, our dimmer
device won't work. We will stay with incandescent bulb technology for now.
I expect the incandescent technology to improve the efficiency of these
bulbs so they will continue to be available for a long time.

Nothing to set or adjust. Just plug it in and wait for your
daily "Sunrise!"
Model 308 Programming
details. A little more to do than model 205 but the
same result, your own daily "Sunrise!"
Model 308 battery replacement.
Leave the unit plugged in and turned on and the battery should not need replacement
for several years. It is only a back up for temporary power outages, the unit will
function with or without it as long as it is plugged in and turned on. If you do
not want "sunrise" turn your lamp off.
